She has over 15 years of experience in counselling people with health and weight management issues.

Who would not like to be healthy from body, mind and soul?

I had a great experience at Being Healthy with Hetal, who guided me not only for my health, but mind and soul too.

I begin writing this one after patting my own back.

I lived in Mumbai for 27 years of my life. The running around and the home cooked food ensured that my weight remained balanced. I had weighed 60kgs for 5years straight without any major fluctuations. I used to check my weight once a year maybe.

After getting married I moved to Canada. The North American diet got the better of me and BOOM! I gained 15kgs in a span of 15 months. It took me 6 months the even realize that I am gaining weight. With weight gain, my periods weren’t regular anymore. It was the whole cycle. If you are a woman in your 30s struggling with weight loss, you probably know the stuff that I’m talking about.
After reaching 77.5 kgs, I began working out. Hated every moment of it but stuck to it for a year. On and off. It was so difficult to stay consistent. Lost 1kg. Yep! Just one.

I come from a middle class Maharashtrian family and we don’t believe in diets. I don’t know anyone in my family who is fighting with obesity. Except one cousin, I’ll come back to him later. A very close friend told me that she has started this diet. I dismissed it thinking that she will probably be off it in a month’s time. We were having lunch together at my place on a Sunday and I saw her plate.
She served herself 2 chapatis, a vati of bhaji, a vati of dal and a vati of salad. I was stunned. How is this diet food? This is what my mom used to cook. This is a balanced meal. And a tasty one. She ate the same bhaji I did. After two weeks, she told me that she has lost 1.5 kgs. That got me interested.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome Hetal Dharod. Is she a magician? Nope. She is just a mortal who does her job right.

I’m not the most disciplined person one the planet. But I’m motivated and I put in genuine efforts towards my well being. I wasn’t diagnosed with PCOS but I had all the symptoms. Just 4-6 months into the diet plan and my period cycle regularized. My hair is shiner and my nails stronger than ever. I’m sleeping better and able to deal with my anxiety. I finally began enjoying my workouts. It’s easier to run when you are lighter. I could complete hikes that my visibly fitter friends gave up on. These are the parameters that I count the success of my diet on.

Talking about the added benefits, I came down from an XL to an M. The same clothes fit better. Lesser burping and gas trouble. Better body posture. I work on the computer all day so my back was a mess. With regular workouts, my back is strong. I don’t even have a count of the number compliments I have recieved at every single party.

Hetal has been an integral part of my journey. Remember, my journey started with just the workout. It helped me become stronger. But Hetal got the diet in and the weight loss happened seamlessly.  
Now, it isn’t all a bed of roses. I’m not a saint and I keep messing up. Eat like there’s no tomorrow every now and then. I don’t have any help with household chores so it’s me and my husband doing it all.
It isn’t easy to manage everything.

It’s almost a year since I started my weight loss journey. I was really not happy with the way I was looking. As I gained more weight, my confidence kept going down. Most of all, it was my blood test reports that was an eye opener. 

A friend was following Hetal’s diet and I was so surprised to find that he could eat normal meals like roti, sabzi, dal, chawal. I absolutely cannot follow crash diets, it’s something I have never done and would never do. So when I found out Hetal’s diet catered more towards a healthy lifestyle choice than compromising on every other food I like, I was more than willing to try it out!

When I started with the diet, I was eating more than I usually would and I couldn’t believe I was losing weight! From 84 kg to 62 kg.. A journey of 30 kilos. 
 
No I’m not bad at Math, the journey was such.
 
I consulted Hetal when I was at my Peak weight of 84kgs and at the lowest in terms of Health.
Being a CA student I was restricted to the chair for a major chunk of the day with zero activity and 100% weight gain. Having tried various diets previously with some success and subsequent weight gain, I was sure that this will again be the case and only wanted to make a commitment for 5kgs but Hetal pushed and motivated me to go for 10kgs.
 
Started in January 2017 and by October 2017 I had achieved the target of 10kgs and was surprised by the quick and easy weightloss that I had achieved with minimal changes in my diet. So I immediately enrolled for more 10kilos weightloss. The initial 5kgs were lost easily but that’s when my coaching for Final CA began and the erratic hours and irregular meals started taking a toll on my body and weight. The weightloss had stopped and I was starting to feel demotivated and that’s where Hetal played a major role in keeping me focused on the weightloss journey and not letting it affect my morale. By October 2019, I had gained back 7kgs and was again feeling low on energy and had started losing hope and morale. Had it not been for Hetal, I would’ve definitely given up by that time and would not have continued towards my dream of losing 20kilos and reaching 64kgs. But she kept on pushing me and again I started getting back on track and losing the weight that I had gained back. 
 
Cut to March 2020, when the lockdown happened, I was around 72 kilos and it now seemed that my Target weight of 64 kg would now remain a dream forever but Hetal made sure that it doesn’t happen. With online consultations and daily guidance I not only managed to reach the target goal of 64, but even beat it and reached 62 despite my sedentary lifestyle and major chunk of the day spent on the chair in front of the books.When the entire world was gaining weight sitting at home, Hetal managed to make me lose weight. When I appeared for my exams I could see my colleagues around me who had gained weight and I was perhaps the only one who had lost it during the pandemic. The entire credit goes to Hetal for keeping me motivated throughout even though I gave her a difficult time sometimes.
 
We all feel that paying a dietician to just guide us for weightloss is pointless and I was of the same opinion having spent money previously on other dieticians but this experience changed my outlook totally as having a Trained Mentor to guide you is a game-changer.
 
I used to wear Size XL for upper wear and Size 38 for my denims, which now have dropped to Size S and 32 respectively. To put this in perspective, the last time I wore Size S and 32 was in 2010-2011 when I was in School.

Its all because of my mom who had forced me to, as she was super concerned about my weight, that I came to you Hetal Dharod, at Being Healthy. Initially, when I started I felt it pretty tough to put up with the diet since I had to do few changes (I was a big time foodie you know that and used to eat lot of wrong foods).

However, with progressing follow ups and motivation from You, ensuring that I stay positive and determined, I was and I am able to very smoothly follow instructions as guided.

I suppose it was the best decision of my life as I managed to reduce my weight from 98 kg to 78 kg i.e. 20kgs within 10 months.

Happiest feeling is about reducing my clothes size from 5XL to XL to L. I have started fitting into clothes that once felt impossible to fit in.

I remember how you wanted me to shed my laziness, thanks to your scoldings that now I feel healthy and very energised when I wake up and am very active to do lot of my work in a day.

My skin has improved and the best part is I get amazing compliments.

Today I realise the vision you had stressed upon – that you want weight loss but with improved fitness and health since I was having PCOD issues, which are much much sorted.

I truly accept that weight loss is just not a reduced digit on the weighing scale.

Myself Mr.Tejas J Doshi…it just started one fine day when my wife required proper diet for her fitness & I joined to give her company , as in truly speaking I was overweight but never thought of doing diet…. When we completed my wife’s medical history , I asked Hetal , do I need to lose weight …..and she said you surely need if you are ready & determined.

So I just accepted the challenge in positive attitude of Being Healthy.

I was 94 kgs @ age of 38 years & due to my body weight I use to have back ache .

My Journey started with dietician Ms. Hetal Dharod. My intention was healthy weight loss with improved digestion… On first visit, I had detailed consultation with her and she also studied my blood reports. She prescribed customized diet according to my body type and recommended suitable workout.

She also took care of my food likes and dislikes. Her diet was with enough calories with full of nutrition. She never believes in Crash diet. She also motivated me in my diet goals as well as personal goals.
